UniCredit Leasing increased its equity by more than 2 billion crowns
In line with the decision of the sole shareholder of UniCredit Leasing CZ, a.s., dated December 18, 2008 the increase of the equity of the company by CZK 2,175 billion was realised. By this step the UniCredit Group clearly declared its strategic business interest on the leasing market of the Czech Republic.

Increase of the capital from the shareholder strengthens the position of UniCredit Leasing on the Czech market as the one of the largest providers of the financing of movables and real estate and provides good base for further business activities in the future. „The overall equity of the company UniCredit Leasing should reach, after its increase including profit of the year 2008, the amount of CZK 4,65* billion,“ added Mr. Jiøí Matula, Board Chairman and CEO. Then he underlined: „By this investment the shareholder confirmed the financial strength of the UniCredit Group in the context of the current global insufficiency of the capital.“
The increase was realised via form of the contribution outside the equity and financial resources will be used this year for strengthening of the equity of the subsidiaries UniCredit Fleet management a Renault Leasing CZ as well as to the large extent for financing of its own business activities, mainly for provision of the financial products for entrepreneurs from the field of small and middle-size business.
UniCredit Leasing CZ, a.s., previously CAC LEASING, operates on the market in the Czech Republic already since the year 1991. Since the year 2005 it is a part of international financial UniCredit Group, which belongs, in the leasing financing, to the leasing company number one on the European market.
