Fivefold growth of business of UniCredit Leasing for the year 2007
* Volume of new business of UniCredit Leasing in the year 2007 grew by 19 % to 17,215 billion crowns. * As of 31.12. 2007 UniCredit Leasing administrated assets in the total acquisition price of 33,6 billion crowns (2006: 32,1 billion crowns). The total number of active contracts reached 81 421. * The largest growth, in the year 2007, was recorded by real estate leasing; its share increased by 71,5 percent to 1,289 billion crowns. * The profit reached 431 million crowns before taxation.

The company UniCredit Leasing, which operated, till November 4 of the last year, under the name of CAC LEASING, increased the dynamics from the last year. In the last year the company concluded 27 041 contracts on financing in the total volume of acquisition prices of 17,215 billion crowns. In year-on-year comparison it achieved approximately 5fold growth. The company profit grew year-on-year by 3,9 % and reached 431 million crowns before taxation.
"The greatest growth of dynamics we achieved in the last months of the year, after approval of the reform of public finances," adds Mr. Ji Matula, CEO and Board Chairman of UniCredit Leasing. Financial and operating leasing of movables reached the value of 13,87 billion crowns, i.e. 80,5 percent from the total volume of new businesses "We recorded nearly one fourth of the growth for operative leasing of movables, which is more and more favoured by the clients," adds Mr. Ji Matula. From total amount of the leasing of movables in the year 2007, the volume of 923 million crowns of business was concluded on the principle of the operating leasing, i.e. by 24 percent more than last year (2006: 743 million crowns).
Leasing of real estate also gradually acquires its clients. The growth of concluded and handed business cases by 71,5 percent, represents financing of the real estate by leasing in the year 2007 in the volume of 1,289 billion crowns (2006: 752 million crowns). Also other forms of financing annually strengthen their position and importance in the portfolio of UniCredit Leasing. Hire purchase and credit form already 12 percent from the overall volume of business, i.e. 2,055 billion crowns. In year-on-year comparison their volume increased by 62,5 percent.

Traditionally the strongest commodity is represented by cars and transport technology which form the subject of financing for 23 424 contracts. "Talking in acquisition prices then 10,198 billion crowns accounts for passenger and utility vehicles, motorcycles and other transport technology and in the volume of 1,819 billion crowns the company UniCredit Leasing financed trucks for clients," explains the business results of the company Jaroslav Jaromsk, Board Vice-Chairman and Executive Director. According to Mr. Jaromsk the company UniCredit Leasing financed the purchase of every ninth car in the Czech Republic. The clients of the company UniCredit Leasing selected mainly the cars of the brand Renault, Dacia, Peugeot, koda, Fiat, Citron, Ford, BMW/MINI or Honda. For financing of cars and other transport technology the company UniCredit Leasing prepares for the year a set of special offers. The most used offer is the offer of discount from acquisition price.
The volume of new business in the area of machinery and equipment grew by nearly 18 percent to 3,908 billion crowns (2006: 3,324 billion crowns.
More than 90 percent of the clients used in 2007, currently with the conclusion of the contract on financing, an offer of advantageous insurance. The company UniCredit Leasing ensures for its clients the insurance services and advantageous offers of insurance for cars, machines and real estate via its subsidiary UniCredit pojiovac maklsk.
